Each year, the Saskatchewan Organization for Heritage Languages presents an annual Provincial Conference. It is one of SOHL’s longest standing programs. To make it more accessible to heritage language teachers across the province, the venue alternates each year between Saskatoon and Regina. The conference features training workshops and sessions designed to help second language teachers improve their teaching skills and learn new ways of teaching. To help make this program affordable, SOHL keeps the registration costs very low and also provides travel and accommodation subsidies. Past conferences have offered workshops in a variety of topics such as Language Games, Teaching Split Level Language Classrooms, Classroom Discipline, Lesson Planning, Meaningful Parent Involvement for Language Programs and Storytelling in the Classroom.
